Last Saturday was Saint Michael´s day and the small town of San Miguel Tzinacapan celebrate their patron. The town is submerged in the "Sierra Madre Oriental", the mountain chain that runs along Gulf of Mexico´s coast. The inhabitants there are originally "totnacos" but thei were conquered by the aztecs and now they speak nahuatl, the most spoken indian language in Mexico. The way they celebrate is dancing and flying, so it is more clear when you can see them, so I am sharing some pictures. Unfortunately like most towns in Mexico, the men have migrated to the north looking for better conditions and the towns are inhabited by old men, women and children.
