What is memoloop?
memoloop is a new community concept which allows you to
upload and organize memos (complete with text, pictures and videos) of your
past. Users can contact other memoloopers who have posted memos referring to an
identical place or time. memoloop’s goal: to connect time, place and the people
who met at a certain crossroad in their lives or who could have met but didn’t.
memoloopers post their past, meet old or new friends and like-minded people.
How much does memoloop cost?
All services presently provided by memoloop are free of charge, except the
sending of SMS or MMS to memoloop. This service will approximately be available
in October 2007.
What's there to do at memoloop?
- Post memos about specific memories of your past in your own words as well as your
pictures, drawings and videos.
- Register your own profile, complete with your own inbox.
- Send messages to other memoloopers.
- Send your posted memos to friends who have not yet registered at memoloop and of
course to all memoloopers.
- If you wish, you can post your memos privately for nobody else to see.
- Check out what happened in the world on a specific date in time or over time at a
certain place.
- Soon you will be able to create groups about topics concerning your past or even world
history.
- We are working on giving you the power to send in memos via SMS and MMS while you are
on the road.
- Place permanent search queries about specific dates and/or places. memoloop will
instantly present you all memoloopers,
who posted entries referring to your search. But: You can only use this feature, if you have posted a memo about
these
dates or places.
How does Memoloop work?
It’s actually pretty simple. You have to register with the
permanent username of your choice, your real life name and email address (both
will be invisible to other users). You will immediately receive an email
containing a link to activate your profile. Then it’s up to you to fill out
your profile, upload a picture of you, etc.
Home – The heart of memoloop. Here you will find new matches
to your search queries. Somebody sent you a message? You will see it here.
Anybody interesting just registered? Take a look at the newest memoloopers.
Browse memos – Here you can look at all memos posted in memoloop.
Search for interesting entries using “time” and “place” as search criteria. Any
memo really standing out? Go ahead and contact the author.
Post memos – Let’s get started and post your own memos. Spice
things up with your pictures, drawings or videos.
My Profile – Change and update your personal data, whenever
you like.
My memos – Take a look at your memos. Change, add or expand
– it’s all up to you!
My Friends – You have already found friends at memoloop?

What is the difference between “Micro Blogging” like
“Twitter” and memoloop?
memoloop is all about your memories, your past. It’s about
meeting people you might have met in the past but didn’t even know it. Also you
can share your memories with others, contrast your perspectives with theirs.
